‘Light a Candle for a Loved One with Memoria and Macmillan’
A truly moving evening at Memoria Amber Valley Memorial park and Crematorium, on Friday 10th December, where this unique community pulled together at our ‘Light a candle for a loved one’ service with our charitable partner Macmillan Cancer Support to remember our loved ones.
The togetherness that unites this closely knit community shone through as we viewed the pictures and names both at our wonderful park and virtually for those unable to be there.
The sound of the superb Brass Band Darley Dale Band was evident of the heritage that surrounds these rolling hills and the presence of Lisa, Will and Paul our Memoria team really did reflect the level of service we always strive to provide, so reflective of the Memoria mission statement.
Thank you so Much Diane Lightowler, Dawn Riley and Alison Wood for the brilliant cohesiveness displayed in delivery of a truly memorable evening but also our amazing families and local people in not only attending bur partaking in a special evening.
It was impossible not to be touched by the raw emotion of the elderly gentlemen in his chair, halfway up the aisle, who having seen his late wife’s picture and name, and then listened to Lara’s theme from Dr. Zhivago was totally overcome but soothingly comforted by his surrounding family. Life, love and loss remembered.
